About Us

Our lady of Fatima-Orussi Health Centre is a Catholic founded Health Centre started in 1983 as a dispensary; an initiative by Dr. Carlos Spagnoli (RIP) and Fr. James Kermundu (RIP) who realized the need and had the passion to serve this isolated hard-to-reach and/or live-in community of Erussi through provision of compassionate and Christian centered health services.

Our lady of Fatima Orussi Health Centre is in Central village, Padolo parish, Erussi Sub-county, Nebbi District, about 23.5 Km South of Nebbi main referral hospital, 26.5 Km East of Goli HCIV and 23 Km from St. Luke Hospital Angal and 7 Km North of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The health Centre serves the population of Erussi, Ndhew, Atego Sub-counties, providing referral pathway for many of the lower government health centers including Jupanziri and Abongo HCIIIs and some facilities from DRC.

Over the years the health Center has grown and has continued to fulfill its mission that is, in faithfulness to the mission of Christ, we provide holistic, professional and affordable health care through partnerships. This has been possible by provision of comprehensive health services to the less privileged population covering various religious faithful while adhering to the Catholic doctrines. Currently the health Center sits within Orussi Catholic parish premises; covering an estimated 10 acres land.

Compassionate and Christian centered health services

Although it’s Christian founded, the health center provides non-discriminative health services for all mankind since health affects everyone. The health center operates as a Private-not-for Profit (PNFP) facility providing low cost and affordable health services within the available budget means.

Currently the management is entrusted within the stewardship of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus attached to Orussi from 1986, under the Diocesan Administration of Nebbi Catholic Diocese.
